The boatyard guesthouse was built circa 1779 it was one of the first privately owned buildings in the area to be built with local 70cm thick stone walls, being based right on the beach gave the owners an ideal opportunity to set up their business repairing boats in its sandy yard.
Shortly after the 1900’s land was reclaimed in front of the house cutting off its access to the sea as the port of Aegina was built and then extended, unfortunately this action eventually forced the owners to close their boatyard.
Today the house is placed in a tranquil position right in the heart of Aegina town convenient to all the facilities the town has to offer, the ferry and dolphin terminals are only 3/4 minutes walk away.
The house has seen a complete renovation and conversion to the property into a boutique guesthouse, the sand has long gone from the yard being replaced by colourful stone flags.
